What to Expect?
Traditionally, herbal medicine needs to be taken two or more times a day, the duration can range from a few days to several months depending on the chief complaints. Consistency in taking the herbal medicine according to the schedule can directly impact results. Re-evaluation in follow up visits is important to determine how each specific formula affects you and whether a change in the formula is indicated. It is very common when the symptoms begin to change that the formula might also require adjustments.
The common forms of Eastern herbal medicine can be raw herbs, granules, capsules, teapills or tinctures. The cost of herbs is around $20-50 per week depending on specific formula and the duration of herbal therapy required. The cost of herbs is an additional cost on top of the herbal consultation fee. For most conditions, follow up visits to re-evaluate changes in symptoms are essential.
All customized formulas are prepared in house with granulated single herbs from KPC Herbs (certified USDA organic). For quality assurance and safety, please see KPC Quality assurance & Safety.
